Center, LA CA Lines: 13 In early 1969, the city fathers of Lubbock, Texas decided that the town needed a dose of civic pride and therefore printed and distributed several thousand of the following bumper stickers: LUCKY ME! I LIVE IN LUBBOCK! Students being what they are, and Texas Tech does not offer that many opportunities for creative literary efforts, promptly modified two letters on as many of the bumper stickers as they could find to express their view of living in that marvelous city.
