Sorry if that's false] What flinn says about the e^x cheer may have been true in his day. We used it occasionally later, but our favorite cheer was the Caltech spellout. It goes like this: Gimme a 'C': F Gimme a 'A': U Gimme a 'L': C Gimme a 'T': K Gimme a 'E': Y Gimme a 'C': O Gimme a 'H': U What's that spell?
