My mom pulled one of my favorites on us when we were in grade school--
she made us "flannel pancakes" for breakfast.  Simply cut out circles
of flannel, poured the batter on the griddle, put one of the circles
on top, covered it with a little more batter and then cooked normally.
End result is, of course, mass confusion when you can't for the life
of you cut into that pancake...

Then again, this is the same lady who got a kick out of putting red
food coloring into unflavored gelatin and serving it to us as cherry
jello.  Bizarre.

Oh, yeah, jello is proably a registered trademark of whoever makes the
stuff (and it should probably be capitalized), but who cares, anyway?
