His antenna tower was eighty feet tall! Because he did not want to climb up the ladder all day, he constructed a hoist with a pulley on top and a barrel at the bottom. He placed all of his tools, wire, parts etc in the barrel (approx. 100 lbs of stuff). He then pulled it to the top and tied it off. When he was through, the man (approx 150 lbs) had filled the barrel with more pieces of the antenna (approx 80 lbs more). He climbed down the ladder and untied the rope to lower the barrel. Having a good grip on the rope, he was quickly rocketed into the air. Half way up... he met the barrel on its way down... breaking his collar bone! When he reached the top, his hands when through the pulley ... suffering severe rope burns. The barrel spilled all of its contents when it hit the ground. The loss of the weight sent the man back down the antenna. Half way down... he met the barrell on its way back up... breaking his ankles! When the man hit the ground, he broke 3 ribs. Being in pain, he let go of the rope, and ....
