Symbolic story in my family:
Once on the west coast of New Zealand, while traveling in
very rugged country, my wife and 2 children and I (in a VW bug)
came across a sign which read

            CAUTION
        EXTREME DANGER

It did not say danger of what.  We have come to regard this as
a general sign on the road of life.
