Lines: 19 This has come up before, but never with a satisfactory explanation: Why do we keep seeing the same jokes over and over again? Today I looked at the last day or so's jokes, and saw all these jokes that have appeared at least once not so long ago: 1) the martians and the gas pump, 2) Karnac and Sis Boom Bah, 3) 31Oct=25Dec, and 4) the plastic surgeon. I won't even mention all the light bulb jokes that have been repeated, nor the rooster jokes. What gives? Is there some site on the net that has a daemon that recycles these? Or do people submit jokes they recently heard, not remembering that they read them here? It's a little annoying, but not much -- I'm mostly curious. Anybody have any insights? Followups should probably go in net.jokes.d. Jay Weber ..!seismo!rochester jay@rochester.arpa
