San Diego, Computer Center Lines: 29 zinfadel!steve suggests that most of net.jokes (bumper stickers, road signs, oxymorons, etc.) be placed in net.humor leaving net.jokes only for "REAL" jokes. Zinfadel!steve further states that the distinction between where a submission should go is obvious. I see two possible results in the implementation of his suggestion: 1) Everyone will continue to submit to net.jokes thinking that their submission is a real joke. All the good jokes will of course end up in net.humor. 2) Everyone will not have a such a definite sense of distinction as steve, so everybody will post all submissions to both net.jokes and net.humor. Eventually mod.jokes will be created moderated by zinfadel!steve. end -) Actually net.humor in principle is a good idea, but I don't think it will be possible to move the majority of submissions to net.jokes into another group. There would be too much inertia to resist the change. (create net.jokes.jokes & net.jokes.humor ( -) ?)). -- David Whiteman sdcsvax!sdccs6!whiteman UCSD Medical School, La Jolla CA {insert boring .signature file here}
