By virtue of the Federal Reserve note being a note it is a promise to pay. While the FRN is a promise to pay there is nothing for it to be paid in. What I would like to know is if FRN's are only promises to pay how could we every have profit or gain when using them? Are we really free if we have to serve the government we created? Dave.
