She said that its effectiveness varied a great deal between individuals. In short, it may be effective in general, as evidenced by the case of the tribe mentioned in the original article, but it is chancy for individuals. What interests me more is the mechanism by which it works. Apparently some hormone is released as a result of stimulation of the breasts in the process of breast feeding. Perhaps this hormone might make a better basis for "The Pill." Is anyone looking into this? Has anyone researched it in the past? Maybe I should cross-post to net.med. So be carefull ...
