I wrote to both Silicon Systems and Sweet Micro Systems asking for information. I also asked Silicon Systems for a distributer list. On Monday, responses from both companies arrived. Silicon Systems sent data sheets but no information about where the chip could be obtained. There wasn't even a cover letter. The letter from Sweet Micro Systems basically started with: "I do not think you can obtain a single chip anywhere." It then went on to mention the Micromint's Sweet Talker II, their own Mockingboard, and to suggest I call Silicon Systems. Its beginning to appear that the only way for those of us with non-Apple systems to get the chip is to buy the board from Micromint and rip it apart. If you recall from the article, Ciarcia said: "I will pay the royalty and provide the Apple II software to anyone sending me a photograph of his or her custom assembled Sweet Talker II." I can't see how he is going to be paying many royalty fees. Harold Ravlin pur-ee!uiucdcs!uicsl!hr
