Everyone has his preferences but most of the available 680XX chips are about the same as the available 80n86 chips. (Yes, I do think that designing a machine from scratch to use the 8088 was a mistake. Putting one on an existing 8 bit (S-100) for compatibility was what it was designed for). -Ron
