Unfortunately, it requires that the original (and the copies) can somehow be "serialized" to a given machine, maybe via a serial number in a ROM of some sort. I realize that this isn't applicable to all systems, but it is a possibility. Didn't I hear something (a year ago?) about one or more chip manafacturers offering CPU chips that had serial numbers in them?
