  The ProDos "fix" that was proposed not only does not work for
  me (2647:EA EA), but seems to
  be patching only the first 2 bytes of a 3 byte inst'n to
  NOPs.  Oh well.  

To correct my earier posting, what I had heard was that ProDos
  was incompatible with non-std disk cards.  One person
  has responded that it worked properly with his clone.  On the
  other hand, it won't work with mine even though I have never
  had trouble with any other software.

I could understand apple making the software check to ROM to
  cut out the clone makers, but it does not seem sensible to
  insist on a std disk card.  I would presume it is
  acceptable to Apple that their users buy third party
  *peripherals*.
