Seems the Mac newsgroup is finally getting off the air, albeit under the
disguise of net.micro.apple as yet.

The described trick (editing the equation in the notepad, then copying it
to the calculator using cut/paste) seems easy enough, even for me (who
has never seen a Mac).
One question remains: why can't the input to the calculator be edited
directly?  Wouldn't this be even easier and much more straightforward?
