If you are using MacTEP on a UNIX 5.0 (UNIX V, all TM BTL, of course)
you can get much better 1200bd performance by replacing lines 4030-4080 with

if loc(1) <> 0 then print input$(loc(1),1);

This also requires that, once you get through a rather noisy login, you do

stty -parity -onlcr

to get the tty driver to behave appropriately.  The Microsoft interpreter
is simply too slow to keep up at 1200 bd going a character at a time.
