Even the old ones are white. Maybe that explains why nobody here pulls over when a fire truck is behind them :-). Now, the line down the middle of the street has, on occasion, been painted green. For St. Patricks's day. How many people have noticed how "Emergency" is lettered backwards on the front of some emergency vehicles - so it is legible in the rear-view mirror of the car in front of them!
