Some indications of what this country is coming to:

1.  President Ronald W. Reagan.

2.  President Ronald W. Reagan recently awarded the Medal of Freedom
to, inter alia, Tennessee Ernie Ford, Louis Lamour, and Whittaker
Chambers (posthumously).

3.  The State Department announced that the United States would not
recognize the jurisdiction of the World Court in the matter of this
country's mining Nicaraguan harbors, giving as our reason the
present complicated situation in Central America.

4.  Exclusive journalism coverage of the wedding earlier this week of
Jerry Lee Lewis and his fourth wife was awarded to the National
Enquirer.
