I just went to see  "Splash"  last week and found it to be a fun  movie.
It is basically a very funny romantic fairy tale about a man who meets a
mermaid  as a child  and then runs into her again on a beach  300  miles
from his home.  John Candy plays his brother and does a splended  job of
maintaining a light touch during the entire movie.  If you like comedies
or romance, and are in the mood for a good time, see Splash!
