It was dull. No fault of the actors, the script was just dull. The jokes were sometimes painfully gratuitous, especially with respect to gays in NYC. (They did get chuckles from morons in the audience.) This film had loads of potential, but it didn't deliver. The acting was credible, and there were touching and funny moments. Just not nearly enough of them to make up for the lousy script. Even Robin Williams fans will not enjoy this, because his well played character has nothing to say here, and this role doesn't have much of the incredible improvisation which would make Williams fun to watch in even the worst movie. Broadway Danny Rose, on the other hand, was terrific. Andy Tannenbaum Masscomp Inc Westford MA (617) 692-6200 x274
