If Anakin had had Obi-Wan take the children, then what was his confusion as
Vader in Return of the Jedi?  Specifically, when Luke is hiding in the shadows
aboard the new Death Star, and Vader is stalking him?

I think that the book of Return of the Jedi says that Luke and Leia's mother
had done the distributing of the children.
