From my point of view, punk is about violence and despair and hate I think I'll go listen to some John Prine... Anyone who's listened to john prine's first (and best) album should find it also pretty amusing. For those who haven't, I assure you that it IS about violence and despair, mostly despair, and with some things like hate and stuff mixed in. If you can get past the acoustical/country medium, it's one of the most powerful albums around. (personally, I find songs that aren't about v, d, and h, and are at the same time at all honest, are virtually nonexistent. It's a mean world, buoys and gulls.) bye-bye, mr(finality is bliss)mincemeat.
