At the Mostly Mozart Festival in San Francisco last month,
Prof. Schickele said that there would be the premier of the
first full-length P.D.Q. Bach opera this spring in, I think,
Minneapolis.  True, previous operatic works have been recorded,
but 'The Stoned Guest' is only a half-act opera, and 'Hansel and
Gretel and Ted and Alice' is an opera in one unnatural act. 

'The Civilian Barber' apparently is lost; all that survives is a suite, 
and the 'Peruckenstucke' or hair-piece.

The new opera is called 'The Abduction of Figaro' and is billed as
being a 'simply GRAND opera'.
