His Mariachi solo on "Please Do Not Go" (recorded with three mikes simutaneously) is simply sublime. Oh yeah.... Miroslav Vitos, James Jamerson (just about every Motown session), Donald "Duck" Dunn (Booker T. & M.G.'s), Bruce Foxton (the Jam -for sheer enthusiasm even though he does use a pick), Jo Dworniak (I-Level and Style Council sessions), Paul Simenon (The Clash -because he relies on instinct alone) and last but not least Richard Hell (Voidoids -the only guy I've seen go through 3 sets of strings in one evening due to his intense flailings) are O.K. too. -- Tim (L'ame frere numero deux) Perlich ...watmath!watrose!tjperlich
