Washington, Computer Sci Lines: 13 "The Mason Williams Phonograph Record" is the album on which "Classical Gas" appeared. This is a marvelous, eclectic collection of jottings in essentially random styles. Some of the highlights, in addition to "Gas", are "Life Song" (0:27, an excellent summation), "The Prince's Panties" (no, the prince is not a transvestite), and "Sunflower" (Mason plays guitar and pucker on a tune which apparently was originally the music to which a 3 mile high by 2 mile wide sunflower was drawn). The producer was Mike Post. I have no idea where you can get a copy. I noticed a while back in the cutout racks that Mason put out a second album, which I neglected to buy (sob). Also, he has a bunch of books out. -Joe P.
