I read in a newspaper article somewhere that LR is Canadian-born, which I found somewhat surprising, considering his deep-south image. The most recent album I know of by LR is "From Branch to Branch", which has a campy but altogether lovely version of Jelly Roll Morton's "Why" on it. An earlier album, "Double Time", is probably his best. Does anyone recognise the frog on the cover of "On the Track"? Does anyone know if another album is in the works? Camp lives!!
