I'm sorry, I accidentally posted this to net.news.group when I meant to send
it to net.news.config.  This is a corrective posting.

ubc-vision informs us that they will have to severely cut back the number of
newsgroups that they receive from uw-beaver due to budget problems (it's
costing them over $700/month in phone charges---admittedly Canadian dollars
but...).  In fact, they've cut back to a pretty bare bones set of groups.
Since they are part of the Usenet backbone, gatewaying into Western Canada,
this will probably affect many of the Canadian sites.  It may also affect
Pacific Northwestern United States sites since they were our most reliable
feed for the mod group(s).
