Brief statement of the purpose of the newsgroup. Ground rules for this newsgroup. How to get software discussed in this newsgroup: who to contact, and license requirments. Is it possible to get the Berkeley mail or the rand MH without a Bell source license? I tried asking net.mail about replacing v7 /bin/mail as a user interface. But there are still unknowns. Standard references required for discussion in this newsgroup: what are they, and how to obtain a copy. I tried posting a request about how to get a copy of RFC822 to net.mail.headers. The only response I got was from someone in England, who asked me to share what I found out. I don't know if my article failed to make it thru the gateway to Arpanet or if Usenetters are unwelcome in that discussion :-).
