I like to read the biweekly news statistics (so I can catch myself if I climb
too high in the top 25!), but I'm not really interested in either reading or
"n"-ing through discussions of news software.  Hence, I propose that the
statistics be split off into a group of their own (net.news.stats or something
similar), so that the news-software hackers can have their group (the existing
net.news) and we ordinary types can find out how much we're writing.
