The Ludwig stories are an inspiration.  If only I had such a zany cat.

However, my cat has one very peculiar habit.  He rarely drinks
water from his dish like normal cats.  This one sits fully upright
up against the dish and very daintily dips his paw into the water,
then licks his paw.  He can get amazing quantities of water in 
a short time this way.  The problem comes if I mix his catfood with
too much water.  He treats it like soup and uses the same hand-to-mouth 
technique (there is an inevitable trail of catfood pawprints away from
the dish).
