Unless you have a well-formulated plan (and the discipline to carry it out) to give the dog plenty of running and exercise-- Unless you have a practical way to keep the dog from fouling the grounds and lawn around the apartment-- Unless you are able to train the dog to be quiet and not be constantly barking--- Then please do yourself, the dog, and your neighbors a favor and rent a house with a fenced-in yard.
