Most great minds in physics had the intuition to judge good models from
bad, and I think most people realize the limitations of mathematics.
The point I think needs emphasis (on net.physics especially) is that
intuition has its limits too.  In particular, there is no royal road to
understanding the details of physical universe.  If you don't know the
math, your intuition will carry you just so far and then fail utterly!
