	The members of this group were Roman Catholic and since there are
	many practices in Catholicism that are in direct conflict with
	Christ's teachings one could hardly call them one and the same.

One might argue that the agents of the Inquisition were not behaving
in a truly Christian manner.  There is a big leap, however, from
criticising the excesses of 500 years ago, to making an unsupported
and offensive statement about Catholicism and its supposed conflict
with Christ's teachings.
