Fact 2: The Iraqis have been found to be waging chemical warfare against Iran. Fact 3: Iraq is in a state of war with Israel, and was one of the numerous opponents of Israel in the wars INITIATED by the Arabs in 1948, 1956, 1967, and 1973. Fact 4: Iraq has plenty of energy via oil. Conclusion: With all of these treacherous acts, would you believe Iraq if they stated that the plant was going to be used for nuclear power? If you do, there something wrong with your logical reasoning. The Israelis have always used their weapons defensively. Anyone who says otherwise has only heard one side of the story -- namely, the Arabs' side, which has over and over again turned out to be full of fallacies. (The evidence is clear by the reports of wartime casualties and "successful" offenses, that are eventually and inevitably proven incorrect.) The Lebanon invasion was for one reason only: to rid Israel's northern border of the PLO menace, which was shelling farming communities for years. As soon as Israel gets assurance that this will not start up again, they will pull out of Lebanon. They have no interest in staying there if the Lebanese can protect the northern Israeli border, as you yourself stated when you rightly said that Israel has spent an enormous amount of money while staying in Lebanon. So, Paul, all I can say is that you have got a very twisted view of that part of the world. You have to base some of your statements on precedents, as I have done here, rather than spreading damaging propaganda, as the Arab countries love to do. Mark
