You are one of the reasons I continue to read net.religion, exasperating though it becomes. Your scrutiny has not caused me to conclude that my beliefs do not hold up. On the contrary, your scrutiny has only reinforced them. The crux of the problem, I think, is that those who try to scrutinize a system of beliefs seldom deal with the system of beliefs itself, but only with appearances of {that,those} system(s).
