The point is the definition of addiction.

Addiction in the context that you use it is psycological addiction.

The other person was saying physically addicted.

Does one go through withdrall symtoms, i.e. shakes, cramps, hot
and cold spells, dangerous body chemical imbalances (sometime life
threatening), halucinations, delousions.
