    My favorite L. Ron Hubbard quote is approximately:

        "Someday I'll pull something that will make P. T. Barnum
        look like a piker."

    This was quoted in a book about writing science fiction.  The book
was by a husband-wife team (I think either the del Rays, the van
Voghts, or the Andersons) but I can't remember any more details.

    I don't know whether the Scientologists believe that 'Ron' has the
gift of prophesy, but this is certainly compelling evidence.
