The mischievous imp in the Superman comics is MR. MXYZPTLK (pronounced
mix-yez-pit-el-ick).  The "Z" was left out of the original reference.
I believe he was from a "5th-dimensional" world with an equally strange
name, and would come into our dimension occasionally to pester Supes.
The only way he could be gotten rid of (temporarily) was to trick him
into saying his name backwards (kil-tip-zix-em).
