His wife is not named Helen, and he has no son (two daughters if I remember right). Personally, I enjoyed the Princess Bride much more once I learned the introduction was fictitous. I still haven't figured out why my copy is subtitled "A Hot Fairy Tale." It is only slightly "hotter" than Tolkien (i.e. there is a girl in it). -- Jan Wolter
