Some thoughts on what makes me interested in a particular woman. The direct method works best with me. Ask me if I'd be interested in having a drink/dinner/lunch with you. It happens so little that I am naturally curious (and interested) and will almost always agree. The other comments that have been posted are also very good. Be yourself, encourage discussion about non-threatening topics, give a few low key compliments, avoid blatant come-ons (although this can work with me if I am caught in the proper mood), and one that I haven't seen, promote "unexpected" meetings with the (pardon the expression) "target male". Asking a male out could be difficult for the female who has had little practice in asking for "dates". Speaking for myself, I am quite shy when it comes to striking up friendships with previously unknown females. But when a female shows the interest that is required to ask me, well, it makes me very interested in getting to know her. (Females in my locality take note, I am ALWAYS interested in making new friends, even if the relationship never goes beyond being friends.) I am also a bit reluctant to try to find a possible "significant other" at work. This does not mean that they are out of the question, it is just that I have trouble deciding if a female is being cordial for business reasons, or, if she is being cordial because she is interested in me. So, to finish this note, I suggest that women express their interests in any way that works for them. Although I broke little new ground with these comments, I hope that they help.
