Likewise we refer to our current big-bang as "THE big bang", and I think the terminology is appropriate, providing when somebody asks about the terminology we define "THE big bang" as "the one that caused this universe we're in now, as contrasted with predecessors and successors and alternatives which might also exist in time" rather than misleading the asker into thinking there was/willbe/is only one bing bang ever.
