Statistics Lines: 21 1) Revel in it now; a two game sweep of the Mets at Wrigley is the closest the Cubs will get to glory. 2) It is incorrect to say Met pitching stinks; the correct term is inexperienced. However, Cub pitching does stink. The Milwaukee Braves used to have quite a starting rotation: Spahn, Sain, and two days of rain. For the Cubs today, it had best be forty days and forty nights (oops, I forgot...nightfall is illegal on the North Side). 3) The Cubs stole Harry Carey. Now Cub fans are stealing Comiskey's favorite serenade (Na Na Na Na ...). And the Cubs will not get a divisional title short of ripping down the White Sox's AL West banner and transplanting it in Wrigley. 4) Seriously, folks, take a look at the talent the Cubs farm system has produced. There's Mel Hall, and there's .... Mel Hall, and don't forget, there's also...Mel Hall! Tit for tat, David Rubin
