I think that hometown cheering is ok. What I object to are boors (not the person who wrote the above letter, but the Cubs fan who started this) who jump in and put down teams and their fans when they're having some harmless fun. If we Mets fans were enjoying the team's start, how is that hurting anyone else and why should someone jump in at the first sign of faltering and gloat.
