Lines: 40 [] Aw, comeon gang. Let's not get serious. I have a lot of fun ragging the other team's fans (especially the cubbies). I'm sure the cubbies have fun doing the same to the Mets fans. This kind of ribbing has been going on for 20 years, why get upset. There has always been a fun rivalry between the two teams and us upper deck dolts from Shea and the bleacher bums from Wrigley have been tossing insults for years. I guess it has just not shown up on the net before. When it comes down to the Cubs being in the World Series, I, for one will cheer them on just as if it were the Mets. After all, the NL East has to stick together. It's all in fun guys. I rather get a kick out of reading just how many ways the Mets can be insulted. After all, what can anyone do to us after we hired Marv Thronberry? And, yes, the Expos had Mets for lunch on Tuesday. But, did anyone see the end of that game Wednesday? WoW, really put one together to cause cardiac arrest. THAT was a ballgame. I see that King Kong went and done it again. Too bad he can't catch a blimp in a ballpark. BTW, poor old Pete Rose got knocked on his kester by the new kid behind the plate yesterday. Mr Hustle seems to be finally slowing down. A sad day for us oldtimers. We thought he could go on forever and uphold our honor. For the guy who wanted to discuss the new Commish. He will be the same old owners toady they all have been. About George - he will fire Yogi before the 4th of July and bring back some other loser from the past. (Don't he ever meet new people?) Trades, trades? Well,I don't read the trades.:-) As for moves, Seaver's move to the Sox was the best thing that has happened to the Mets in ten years. Sure I like the guy, but he is just a wee bit past the top to anything for the Mets. Hey, out there in Gumball Field, get some lights. I'm getting tired of missing games while I'm at work. T. C.
