tubing is best done in San Marcos, where you can rent a tube and drift
through the local college campus.

and below Canyon Dam, the level of difficulty at 3 places is ranked
'highest' in the scale, so you get challenged quite a bit.

Water level fluctuates greatly, due to control at the dam.

Someone, recently, said in this forum, that there is little recreational
value around here ....
