Did you see the one when during the monologue Carson noticed Tommy
Newsome(?) rubbing his eye. Carson inquired if Tommy had something
in his eye to which Newsome deadpanned:
 
   "A pubic hair"

The network bleeped most of it, but those of us with minds in the
gutter caught it. Carson was cracked up for the rest of his monologue.

Another old one I only heard about was with Peter Sellers. This was back
in the days when Carson held up the products he was promoting.
That night it was unbreakable plates and dishes. Sellers reached over,
picked up a plate and threw it on the floor, where it broke.
So Carson tried it with the same result. The remainder of the
show was interspersed with Carson and Sellers breaking plates.

They lost that sponser!
