It got cancelled after 2 years, tops, maybe a season and a half. I used to love the show. Just for the heck of it, as I recall Tony was played by James Darren, and I can`t think of Doug`s real name. There were also 2 scientists in the show, and a military man, Dr. Heywood Kirk, who was played by character actor Whit Bissell (whose step-son or step-grandson was Brian Forster, who played Chris on the Partridge Family from its second season on when Jeremy Gelbwaks left the show. NOW THAT`S TRIVIA!) Anyway, one of the scientists was former Miss America Lee Meriwether. I can`t remember her characters name, though I think it was Lee something. The other scientist was a man, kinda big and bald, but I can`t remember his name or his character`s name. Not bad for right off the top of my head. I was really upset when Time Tunnel got cancelled. We watched it all the time, and used to play "Time Tunnel" by ourselves. That and "Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea". Tom O`Connor
