Cost to upgrade a 780: $95,000 with FPA, without floating point, $91,200.

Delivery: 8 to 12 months

Speed: 133ns CPU cycle time compared to 780's 200ns

Data cache expanded to 32 kbytes from 8 kbytes


I have seen some benchmark times, they show an average performance increase
of 50%. I don't work for DEC, just thought you might like to know.
