A PLEA IN SELF-DEFENSE:

I did not (repeat: NOT) say that I would not/will not use the term
"Ms."  I merely stated that I don't care for it, and, given a choice,
would prefer to have some other title used.  I feel it is a bit on the
inconsistent side.  In all cases, though, the preference of the indi-
vidual whom I am addressing will be honored.
