(Think about it for MacDraw, Apple folks!) I have been able to get around this by judiciously toggling the grid mode when it gets in the way. When text is placed in grid mode it seems to place the top left corner on a grid node, rather than the bottom left. It will line up this way, though, just as well as the other. Kurt
