These newsgroups now belong exclusively to the 7 divested Regional Bell Operating Companies and to BCR. He has seen a lot of traffic with newsgroup lists like net.wanted,btl.wanted,bell.wanted and this is blatantly in violation of the divestiture. In fact, I would like to remind people that it is almost NEVER appropriate to list more than one "*.wanted" newsgroup. Either post to net.wanted, or to att.wanted, or to bell.wanted, or if you have something like a car or house for sale, restrict it locally with a newsgroup like nj.wanted. Almost all such abuse seems to originate from within AT&T, for some reason. AT&T employees should be especially careful about misusing these newsgroups, since you don't want trouble from Judge Green. A reminder to all Usenet contacts - if your sys file still mentions bell.all and you are not part of an RBOC or BCR, please fix it now. Mark Horton
